Unlimited Barcelona is located in the Torre Urquinaona. It takes its name from the square where the architect Antoni Bonet built it between 1968 and 1970. It has 22 floors and stands on an octagonal floor plan that takes advantage of all the space available on the chamfer. It stands out for its prismatic shapes, with dark glass and ceramic finishes. Bonet chose this shade because it is resistant to urban pollution and the passage of time.
In the rehabilitation of this viewpoint, the walls were covered with rusty panels of the same size as the ceramics of the façade, as a tribute to the architect.
The Torre Urquinaona is considered a "skyscraper" because in Barcelona 70 meters, it is in itself a significant height. There is no construction in the entire city that exceeds the 172 meters that the central tower of the Sagrada Familia will have, still under construction. Antoni Gaudí establishes this limit so as not to exceed the "work of God", represented in Barcelona by the 173 meters of the Montjuic mountain. And no architect has ever dared to surpass it.
